Otterbourg, Steindler, Houston & Rosen, P.C. was founded in 1909. Today, our Firm provides a wide range of legal services to the business, commercial and financial community. Our goal remains what it has been for more than ninety-five years: to ascertain our clients' needs and provide the highest quality legal services to meet those needs efficiently. Our ability to attract and retain major commercial and financial institutions as clients demonstrates our continuing success in helping our clients achieve their business and legal objectives.

Just as importantly, we understand the concerns of the other parties with whom our clients may be negotiating or litigating and the approaches needed to succeed in judicial and governmental proceedings. International expertise

As a result of the ongoing dismantling of political and economic barriers around the world, we have become increasingly involved in a broad spectrum of international transactions, litigations and bankruptcy matters, representing both domestic clients abroad and foreign clients in the United States. We have longstanding relationships with a network of prominent foreign law firms and other professionals around the world. This global network is augmented by our active participation in the ongoing work of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

By tapping into these resources, our clients receive the specialized advice or services they may need in international matters. Our understanding of increasingly relevant international issues allows us to explain these issues in a way that makes sense to our clients and facilitates their ability to make appropriate business decisions.

Team approach

Today, no one lawyer can provide the full range of legal services our clients require. In recognition of that fact, all members of the Firm, as well as our associates, have developed areas of concentration and expertise. This enables us to identify quickly the nature of the problems presented and allows a small team of lawyers to work efficiently with our clients to achieve the best solution. By using the team approach, we are able to marshal the knowledge and experience needed to address any situation. The legal services we provide are, in all instances, supervised by a member of the Firm, assisted by other Firm members or associates and legal assistants. We recognize that all clients are properly sensitive to the cost of legal services and we are committed to staffing each matter in the most economical way.
